There are so many astrology rules corresponding to the cause of delay in marriage.

We will see about one such rule called Punarphoo Dosha in this post.

Punarphoo is the term mentioned in KP astrology in detail. Punarphoo Dosha occurs when Saturn and Moon are combined or conjoined in same sign(rasi) or related in any way in a horoscope chart.

Effects of Purnarphoo dosha:

- Confusion in choosing the right bride or bridegroom, which takes    more time and hence it results in delay.

- Obstacles during commencement of betrothal(engagement) or marriage.

- Marriage does not happen on the fixed date due to silly reasons.

- Marriage event stopped due to confusion arisen from unknown reasons.

- Second Marriage or no marriage at all.

We will see an example of chart of girl whose engagement date and marriage date was fixed but the event was broken due to a silly reason.  The brigegroom for this girl is my close friend.

Sat+Moon=Punarphoo

In the above chart, Saturn being the Asc/Lagna lord is with 7^th lord Moon in 11^th house. Look 7^th lord moon is neecha/debilitated in virichika/scorpio sign.

Combination of Saturn+Moon=Purnarphoo, which broke the engagement event before a week and also resulted in no marriage yet. Still the problem is not solved.

So from the above chart we can understand that Punarphoo Dosha works and it still causes delay in marriage till the present day.

Since it is KP, I still have huge doubts in KP system of prediction. According to my research the reason of delay can also be the because of the Saturn + 7^th lord Moon combined House of Obstacle. Yes, for Makara Lagna, which is a chara(movable) lagna, 11^th house is obstacle house and its lord mars is lord of obstacle aspecting the 12^th 3^rd and 4^th house from lagna which is also not good. Saturn, here is lord of 1^st and 2^nd(family) also. The delay in marriage can also be related to this particular rule.

புனர்பூ தோஷத்தின் பாதிப்புகள்:

- மண‌மகன் அல்லது மண‌மகள் தேர்ந்தெடுப்பதில் குழப்பம், இதில் நேரம் காலம் போவதே  தெரியாமல் கால தாமதமாகி விடுதல்.

- நிச்சயதார்த்தம் நடப்பதில் தடை அல்லது நடக்கும் போது தடை.

- திருமணம் நிச்சயிக்கபட்ட நாளில் சில சாதாரண விஷயங்களுக்காக நடக்காமல் போவது.

- திருமணத்தின் போது சில புரியாத காரணங்களால் திருமணம் முற்றிலும் நின்றுவிடுதல்.

- மறுமணம் அல்லது திருமணமே ஆகாத நிலை.

எனினும் கே.பி. ஜோதிட முறையில் நிறைய சந்தேகங்கள் எனக்குள்ளது. என்னுடைய ஆராய்ச்சியின் படி திருமணம் தடையானதற்கு காரணம் சனி+சந்திரன் சர லக்னத்திற்கு 11 ஆம் வீடான பாதக ஸ்தானத்தில் கூடியிருப்பது தான். 7 க்குடையவன் சந்திரன், 1, 2(குடும்ப) ஸ்தானதிற்குறிய சனியோடு சேர்க்கை பெற்று பாதகம் ஆகிவிட்டது. பாதாகதிபதி செவ்வாய் 12, 3, 4 ஆகிய வீடுகளை பார்வை செய்வது நல்லதல்ல. எனவே நிச்சயம் மற்றும் திருமணம் தடைபட்டு தாமதம் ஆவதற்கு இதுவும் காரணமாக இருக்கலாம்.

This post explains the use of Avasthas in prediction part.

I will explain with some examples on how to find if your life is a success which means dull, boring or enjoyable, filled with fun, comforts and luxuries.

In any chart we have to look at the planets Avasthas(state) to know whether the person is lazy, daydreamer or achiever.

Look at the example horoscope 1 below.

We all know that for any chart, Lagna/Asc is important as it describes about the appearance and the self. If Lagna or Lagna Lord is weak, then the person coming up in life is a question.

Here in the above chart, Lagna Lord is Jupiter which is in Kumara(Adolescent), Jaagrita(awake) and Deepta(glowing), Muditha(delighted) and Garvita(Proud).

This person whom I know very well as he is my friend will always be busy and unusually bright. He works for multi-national company and earn enough. He is also engaged in some spiritual activities and got himself initiated into Kriya Yoga. He never feels tired. He constantly keeps travelling between states. The reason is Ascendant lord is bright. And his love life is also a success.

Another way to check is to see the Alertness level of all planets. The more the planets are in Jaagrita(Awake) state, life is successful.

Look at the example horoscope 2 below.

Chart of one of my friend. Here in this chart the Lagna Lord is old and dreaming, where as other 6 planets are awake. He lives a very successful life in Singapore. Out of 6 planets 3 are young and also in glowing, comfortable state. The look of the person is also pleasing and bright.

Look at the example horoscope 3 below.

Chart of my friend who life is still a don’t know question. He doesn’t speak much and not socially mingled at times. He is still jobless and despite of his strenuous spiritual efforts still he couldn’t make a success in anything. The Lagna/Asc lord Mercury is Adolescent but it is dreaming. Other planets are also either in dreaming state or asleep state. Hence the question will he ever get a job and lead a successful life ?

From the above examples we come to know that an easy way to check the person’s chart is to look at the state or avasthas of all nine planets. The behaviour and nature of the persons sync’s with that of planets age, alertness and mood.

Similarly, for each house other than first house lagna/ascendant whether the significations of the house will be good or not can be identified by the avasthas of respective house lords.

This is not a final conclusion. Still research is needed on application of planetary avasthas. As far as in my research at least any 2 planets out of 9 should be in Awake(Jaagrita) state and any 2 should be in Yuva(Young) or Kumara(Adolescent) state to get success in life.

மேலே உள்ள ஜாதகத்தில், லக்னாதிபதி குரு ஜாக்ர்தா - விழிப்பான நிலையில் உள்ளார். 
மேலும் விதமானது தீப்தா - பிரகாசமான‌முடித்தா - மகிழ்ச்சி, க்ரவிதா - பெருமை/கர்வமுள்ள போன்றவற்றில் உள்ளது.

இவர் எனது நன்பர் ஆதலால் இவரை பற்றி அறிந்தவன் நான். இவர் எப்போதுமே 
பிஸியாகவே இருப்பார். இவர் ஒரு பன்னாட்டு நிறுவனத்தில் வேலை பார்க்கிறார், நல்ல 
சம்பளமும் கூட. இவர் சில ஆன்மிக இயக்கங்களிம் ஈடுபட்டு, கிரிய யோக தீட்சையையும் 
பெற்றுள்ளார். எப்போதுமே முக பொலிவுடன் பிரகாசமாக இருப்பார். சோம்பேரிதனமே

மற்றொரு ஆராயும் வழி என்னவென்றால், எல்லா கிரகங்களின் விழிப்பு நிலையை பார்க்க வேண்டும். அதிக கிரகங்கள் விழிப்பு நிலை அதாவது ஜாக்ர்தா - விழிப்பான நிலையில் 
இருந்தால், வாழ்க்கை நிச்சயம் வெற்றிதான்.

உதாரண ஜாதகம் 2

என் நன்பரின் ஜாதகம். லக்னாதிபதி சந்திரன் முதிர்ந்த நிலையில், ஸ்வப்னா/கணவு 
நிலையில் உள்ளார். ஆனால் 6 கிரகங்கள் விழிப்பு நிலையில் உள்ளனர். இவர மிக 
அருமையான வெற்றிகரமான வாழ்க்கையை சிங்கபூரில் வாழ்ந்து வருகிறார். 6 கிரகங்களில் 3 இளமை வயதில், பிரகாசமான, சுகமான விதத்தில் உள்ளனர். இவருடைய பார்வையும் 
சாந்தமாக, பிரகாசமாக இருக்கும்.

Planetary Avasthas - கிரக அவஸ்தைகள்

Avastha means state or status.

Planetary Avasthas describes the state or status of each planet. It helps the astrologer in determining whether a planet is able to give results or not.

Basic planetary Avasthas includes age, alertness and mood, which are

Age: 5 types

Infant(Baala) - ¼ strength

Adolescent(Kumara) – ½ strength

Young(Yuva) – Full Strength

Old(Vriddha) – Minimum Strength

Dead(Mrita) – No Strength

Planets in horoscope behave according to the above Age groups. A planet in Young State exhibits full power during its Dasa/Bhukti/Antar Period. If it is yogakaraka planet then the horoscope of a person enjoys lot of benefits and comforts.

Alertness: 3 types

Jaagrita – Awake

Swapna – Dreaming

Sushupta – Asleep

Working nature of Planets depends on above 3 alertness states. A planet in swapna or sushupta will be either productive or non-productive for a horoscope, it depends on planet’s character. For ex., If an evil planet is in Sushupta/Asleep alertness level in a horoscope chart then it means that no problem will be faced by the person during the particular planetary dasa/bhukti/antar period.

Mood: 11 types

Deepta – Glowing

Mudita – Delighted

Saanta – Peaceful

Swastha – Comfortable

Gravita – Proud

Khala – Mishchievous

Kopita – Angry

Deena – Sad

Dukhita – Distressed

Lajjita – Ashamed

Vikala – Crippled

Planets in any of the following Moods exhibit their behaviour accordingly.

How the Planets are allotted to particular Avasthas like age, alertness and mood ?

Age is allotted based on the degree in which a planet is posited in a even or odd sign.

Alertness and Mood is given based on the planet’s exaltation, neutral, friendly, inimical, debilitation signs.

Explaining about Avasthas is not possible in this single post. And moreover, I am not going to explain all the details about how they are calculated. This post is intended for a student of astrology to know what are Avasthas like an introduction. Avasthas are vast concepts and still more avasthas are present in astrology. It is a research oriented area of the subject.

Mudita- முடித்தா - மகிழ்ச்சி

Saanta- சாந்தா - அமைதியான/சாந்தமான‌

Khala- காலா - குரும்பு/விஷமம் நிறந்த‌

Kopita- கோபிதா - கோபம்

Deena- தீனா - சோகம்

Dukhita- துக்கிதா - உளைச்சல்

Lajjita- லஜ்ஜிதா - வெட்கமான‌

Vikala- விக்காலா - முடமான‌

கிரகங்களின் மேற்கூறிய் விதங்களில் இருந்தால் அந்தந்த விதங்களுக்கு 
ஏற்றாற்போல் செயல்படும்.
